Head of Compliance, Risk & Legal Assurance (with AML Focus) – Hybrid role in Bristol

This role is based in Bristol, with flexibility for hybrid working arrangements. Your new role
In this strategic leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the organisation’s compliance with all relevant legislation and regulation, managing risk across the business, and overseeing internal policies, processes, and quality assurance. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Board and SMT, your responsibilities will include:
Identifying and advising on legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
Developing and implementing compliance objectives, systems, and audit regimes.
Managing internal and external compliance resources and liaising with regulatory bodies.
Leading risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Maintaining the company’s risk register, overseeing internal policy development and compliance, and reporting key changes to the Board.
- Leading process improvement initiatives, managing ICT system relationships, and ensuring quality assurance across business functions.
- Supporting financial operations, producing and analysing cross-departmental management reports, and contributing to strategic projects and team coverage as a senior leader.
