Communications Coordinator (Temporary – 3 Months)

Social Housing | Hybrid Working

We’re recruiting a Communications Coordinator on behalf of a social housing organisation to provide temporary cover for 3 months. This is a great opportunity for an experienced communications professional to support a busy, community focused team.

Pay: £15.59 per hour + holiday pay
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary – 3 months
Location: Hybrid role – 3 days per week in the office. Weekly team day in Liverpool, with occasional travel to offices in Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.

The Role

You’ll support the Communications Manager and team by delivering clear, engaging internal and external communications that keep colleagues, customers and stakeholders informed.

Key Duties

  • Write content for websites, social media, newsletters and internal platforms
  • Support campaigns and communications projects
  • Distribute communications using Mailchimp
  • Schedule and monitor social media using Hootsuite
  • Update digital content via CMS and SharePoint
  • Spot and share positive news stories
  • Monitor engagement and log media coverage
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements
About You

  • Solid experience in a communications role, ideally within a charity or public sector setting
  • Confident, creative and highly organised.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good digital skills, including social media, email marketing and CMS
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
  • Degree in Marketing or Communications desirable.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, Hootsuite and Canva is highly desirable.
