Great opportunity for a communications professional to join a large manufacturing company in Lisburn.

Your new company

Join an established manufacturing business that has been creating innovative window covering solutions for over 40 years. With a strong focus on design, engineering and manufacturing excellence, they're entering an exciting phase of growth with major product programmes planned through 2027. Based in Lisburn, this business employs around 850 people and maintains a collaborative, creative culture with genuine investment in employee development. This organisation is an Investors in People accredited employer.

Your new role

As a Communications Executive, you'll be the creative force behind engaging customer communications and inspiring internal content. This isn't your typical communications role – you'll lead the creation of bi-annual customer and staff magazines from concept to production, coordinate all customer-facing communications across multiple channels, and produce the annual product price book during the critical high-volume period (Sept-Dec). You'll work closely with both sales and marketing colleagues to deliver impactful communications that support business growth.

This is a hands-on role where you'll partner with the Digital Marketing Executive to create robust communications plans, collaborate with the Sales Director on product promotions, and liaise with both in-house design teams and external agencies. You'll manage content across company ordering portals, website and intranet, compile editorial and advertising design for trade publications, and work effectively across multiple departments to ensure communications are accurate, relevant and on time. Your creative thinking and ability to simplify technical language for customers will be essential as you bring new ideas for outreach beyond traditional channels.

You'll be part of a small, collaborative marketing team with regular one-to-ones, open discussion and shared projects. Creative collaboration is actively encouraged with frequent idea sharing, and you'll experience clear cross-functional working with engineering, design and marketing involved in product meetings from idea to launch. This fast-paced, high-volume environment requires strong stakeholder skills across technical and non-technical teams.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or related subject (degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in communications, marketing or editorial roles
  • Demonstrable experience of working on simultaneous marketing projects to deadlines
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to simplify technical language for customers
  • Creative thinking with new ideas for outreach beyond traditional channels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages (particularly PowerPoint and Publisher)
  • Proficiency in social media platforms
  • Experience with content management systems and creative software (desirable)
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across teams and with external partners
  • Creative flair with strong understanding of brand consistency

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salary of £30,000-£34,000
  • 32 days annual leave (plus additional for long service)
  • Quarterly £50 attendance reward vouchers
  • Flexi-time policy allowing you to balance hours within the same month
  • Early Friday finish at 2pm
  • Structured product training and onboarding
  • External training courses supported where aligned to business needs
  • Paid professional membership fees
  • Up to 50% discount on company products
  • Free on-site parking
  • Other excellent benefits such as Health Cash Plan and Life Assurance
