Communications & Campaigns Lead

Your new company
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a highly respected national membership organisation in Wales. With a strong public profile and a mission rooted in collaboration, influence and public value, the organisation is preparing to deliver a high-profile, multichannel programme to mark a landmark anniversary. This is a rare opportunity to lead a flagship communications and campaigns programme that will engage with a broad range of stakeholders within the Welsh Public Sector.

Your new role
As Communications & Campaigns Lead, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end planning, coordination and delivery of a major anniversary campaign programme. Acting as the central point of leadership, you’ll bring together communications, marketing, campaign activity, content development and events to ensure the programme is cohesive, impactful and delivered to plan.

Working closely with central communications teams, senior leaders, external creative and campaign agencies, and a wide range of stakeholders, you’ll lead multichannel campaign delivery, oversee content and case study development, and ensure messaging aligns with organisational priorities and brand. You’ll play a key role in stakeholder engagement, event coordination and campaign governance, ensuring activity is well managed, accessible and delivers maximum reach and impact.

This role suits a senior communications and campaigns professional who thrives in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments and enjoys leading high‑visibility programmes from concept through to delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading communications, campaigns or marketing programmes in a public sector, third sector or multi‑stakeholder environment
  • Strong end‑to‑end project or programme management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, risks and multiple work streams
  • Experience working closely with communications, PR, creative or campaign agencies, ensuring high-quality outputs
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders, partners and external organisations
  • The ability to oversee and coordinate engaging content, including case studies, digital content, social media and campaign assets
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident in working independently, managing competing priorities and delivering at pace
  • Familiarity with government, local government, public affairs or public sector communications (highly desirable)
Availability for an immediate start is important, given the time‑sensitive nature of the programme.

What you'll get in return
This is a temporary position until the end of March 2027.
£32.05 Per Hour + Holiday Allowance.
Flexible / hybrid working options are available, with a regular requirement to be on-site in Cardiff.
