Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting new and existing commercial combined business, working closely with an established network of brokers. You will assess risks, provide accurate and timely quotations and ensure decisions are made in line with underwriting appetite and delegated authority. You will play an important part in maintaining strong broker relationships, supporting the wider growth strategy and contributing to the ongoing development of products and processes. This is a position that offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, agile setting.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven experience in underwriting commercial combined or broader commercial lines, along with a strong technical understanding of SME and mid‑market risks. You will be confident in your decision‑making, able to analyse risk information effectively and comfortable managing a busy and varied workload. Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive broker relationships are essential. Progress towards ACII is advantageous but not essential, and you should enjoy working in an environment where pace, collaboration and adaptability are key.
