Exciting Opportunity for a Contracts Manager in Aerospace & Defence Engineering

Your new company
A leading manufacturing organisation – with a global reach within the aerospace and defence sectors and based in the Southwest – is looking to expand its commercial team, seeking a Contracts Manager to join its thriving operation.

Your new role
As Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of commercial contracts including drafting and negotiation through to execution and compliance. You’ll work across a variety of agreements, including NDAs, production contracts, and aftermarket support, ensuring alignment with both UK and international regulatory frameworks.
The role also involves supporting bid activity, advising on contractual terms, and engaging with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive commercial success. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of contract governance processes.

What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll be bring at least three years’ experience in a commercial contracts role, ideally within a regulated or technical industry such as aerospace, defence, or advanced manufacturing. A solid understanding of UK and US contractual frameworks is highly desirable, along with familiarity with export control regulations.
You should be confident in stakeholder engagement and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience supporting bids and proposals will be a distinct advantage.
