This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organisation during a critical project phase, working with a collaborative team in their modern Glasgow office.

Your new role

As Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for successfully closing off a major telecoms project within a 3-6 month timeframe. You'll lead a focused team of 2 professionals, ensuring all commercial aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing stakeholder relationships across multiple departments
  • Overseeing contract negotiations and variations
  • Ensuring compliance with commercial terms and conditions
  • Managing a team of two Quantity Surveyors
  • Monitoring project financials and profitability
  • Preparing detailed commercial reports for senior leadership
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks
  • Coordinating with technical teams to align commercial and operational objectives
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the telecommunications sector
  • Strong project closure and contract management expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate small teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of telecoms project commercials and industry standards
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
  • Experience with contract negotiations and commercial risk assessment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience with major telecommunications providers would be advantageous, but utilities (water/energy) will be considered.
  • RICS accredited.
