Inhouse Commercial Lawyer - Belfast

Hays are delighted to represent a leading multinational company, currently seeking a Commercial Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team in Belfast. Your new role

You will provide legal support and advice on a range of commercial matters, focusing on digital and technology-related projects. Duties include:
• Provide legal advice and support on commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements related to digital and technology services.
• Advise on regulatory and compliance issues affecting digital and technology projects.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, IT professionals, and business leaders, to ensure legal risks are identified and managed effectively.
• Support the development and implementation of digital strategies and initiatives.
• Handle disputes and litigation related to commercial and digital matters.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting digital and technology sectors.
• Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on legal and compliance issues for the team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful candidate, you will be qualified in Northern Ireland or England and Wales as a solicitor or barrister and have practical experience, alongside:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in commercial law, ideally with a focus on digital and technology sectors.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using legal research tools and technology
