Commercial Finance Manager - Retail

Your new company
I am recruiting a qualified Commercial Financial Manager to join a highly regarded global retail chain. This client is looking for an experienced Commercial Financial Manager with strong analytical skills and commercial experience.

Your new role

Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing 1 direct report, and supporting their development and learning
  • Supplier Income reporting, month end accounting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Reviewing VBAs and evaluating accounting treatment
  • Provide analysis, insight and informative reporting to support and influence business decisions
  • Rail format sales budget and forecast build
  • KPI analysis
  • Analysis of key variances against current trend, prior years and forecast at both store and product category level
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of category margins with Volume, Rate, Mix analysis
  • Evaluating the success of ongoing trials and projects, and proposing recommendations

What you’ll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with commercial industry experience, retail or FMCG industry experience is desirable. You’ll need to be highly numerate with a strong analytical background, as well as an effective communicator with all levels of stakeholders.
