Part-time Commercial Finance Manager

A unique opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute and hands-on finance leader to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary business. This newly created job is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a cross-functional environment and is passionate about driving performance through financial insight and operational collaboration. As Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bridging finance, strategy, and operations. This is not a traditional finance role — it demands someone who can think beyond the numbers, influence senior stakeholders, and lead initiatives that directly impact business outcomes.

You will:
  • Lead financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.
  • Act as a strategic business partner, supporting procurement, commercial negotiations, and planning.
  • Deliver financial modelling and scenario analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with business goals.

About You
You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in senior financial leadership. You bring:
  • Strong financial management and control expertise.
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach suited to a fast-paced environment.

This role is aimed at experienced accountants looking to work three days a week, the work pattern can be flexed to suit the individual. There is the potential of a larger role more suited to full-time as well. We are only considering candidates who live in the local area and have a right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not an option for this role.
