Are you a commercially minded finance professional with a passion for driving global growth through data-driven insight? Hays Recruitment is proud to be supporting our client in the search for a dynamic Commercial Finance Business Partner – Ecommerce to join their high-performing team.

Purpose of the Role
This pivotal role is designed to fuel profitable global business expansion by delivering actionable insights. You’ll collaborate closely with commercial teams to shape product portfolios, pricing strategies, and promotional plans. With a hands-on approach to product forecasting, you’ll help build a robust commercial budget and forecast, monitor performance, and initiate course corrections to meet financial targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage commercial forecasts by analysing online retail sales data, customer purchasing trends, and market shifts.
  • Deliver demand forecasts as part of the Integrated Business Planning cycle, partnering with marketing and sales.
  • Use forecasts to plan inventory and maintain optimal stock levels across locations.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to reduce stock ownership costs and optimise working capital.
  • Analyse gross margin performance against prior year, budget, and forecast to uncover insights and drive decisions.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools that deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Identify and champion opportunities to enhance overall business performance.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong analytical skills and a naturally inquisitive mindset.
  • Proven experience with supply systems, ERP, and MRP platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Deep understanding of sales forecasting and supply chain operations within a global business.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high SKU count consumer environment with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume inventory and producing ecommerce sales forecasts.
  • Passionate about achieving results in a dynamic and challenging setting.
  • Significant experience in a commercial finance role within ecommerce.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
