Financial Modelling Analyst – Reading

Financial Modelling Analyst
Location: Reading – on-site 4 days per week (including Fridays) Salary: £55,000 (non-negotiable)
We’re hiring an Analyst to join a specialist Financial Modelling team, focusing on the maintenance and development of complex, bespoke Excel models. This is a hands-on, analytical role in a small team, with long-term development over 3–4 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update large-scale financial models (60+ interconnected tabs)
  • Amend assumptions around costs, CAPEX, and revenue
  • Challenge inputs and ensure model accuracy
  • Support monthly BAU reporting across revenue and CAPEX
Key Requirements
  • Excellent Excel skills – essential (advanced formulas, complex models, troubleshooting)
  • Experience working with bespoke financial models
  • Basic understanding of P&L and CAPEX
  • Analyst mindset – not an accounting or audit background
  • Strong team fit and desire for a long-term role
  • Local to Reading due to on-site work
Interview Process
  • Stage 1: Initial conversation (non-technical)
  • Stage 2: In‑person interview with Excel assessment (approx. 2 hours)
