Commercial Designer Job - Nottingham - Interior Fit out Projects - £50,000 Salary plus package

Your New Role
As a Commercial Interior Designer, you will take the lead in designing and shaping inspiring commercial spaces. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their vision, assess project requirements and develop creative, functional layouts that maximise the potential of each space.

Your role will involve:

  • Producing commercial layouts and space‑planning designs

  • Meeting suppliers to stay updated on the latest trends, materials and finishes

  • Creating mood boards and concept direction

  • Producing high‑quality presentation packs

  • Presenting design work and drawings to clients

  • Carrying out accurate on‑site surveys

  • Sourcing suitable furniture and product solutions

  • Creating technical drawings including plans, sections and elevations

    What You Need to Succeed

To excel in this role, you’ll bring both technical competence and creative flair, along with the confidence to communicate effectively with clients and suppliers.

You will need:

  • Strong ability to survey sites accurately

  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong problem‑solving abilities

  • Experience producing technical plans, sections and elevations

  • Knowledge of SketchUp or similar 3D modelling/rendering tools (advantageous)

  • Proficiency in Photoshop

  • Solid product and furniture knowledge
