Your New Company

My client is a leading organisation dedicated to building a modern, reliable, and secure cloud and server infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that is committed to providing seamless, consistent, and high-quality services to its partners and clients.

Your New Role

I'm seeking a Cloud Engineer to join my client's team. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll be instrumental in the development and delivery of cutting-edge cloud and server solutions. You'll ensure a seamless and consistent delivery of services, all while adhering to agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and technical standards.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you'll need extensive hands-on experience with a variety of cloud and server technologies. My client is looking for a deep technical expert with proven experience in the following areas:

  • Cloud platforms & architecture: A proven track record with Microsoft Azure IaaS, including its core components for compute, networking, and storage. Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online) and leveraging Azure Monitor for comprehensive infrastructure oversight.
  • Virtualisation & Server Infrastructure: Expert knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware virtualisation environments. Solid experience with on-premises and hybrid server, compute, and storage infrastructure.
  • Microsoft Windows Server: Experience of key server roles, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, DFS, and Group Policy.
  • Security & Endpoint Management: Practical experience with SOPHOS and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Proficiency in implementing and managing VPN solutions like Microsoft Direct Access or Always On VPN. Strong background in endpoint management using Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
  • Data & Infrastructure: Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions. Familiarity with digital infrastructure monitoring tools like SolarWinds.

What You'll Get in Return

You'll be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team where you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of digital infrastructure. You will receive a competitive salary with public sector benefits and the chance to work with the latest technologies. My client is committed to your professional development and will provide opportunities for ongoing training and growth.
