Your new company
Our client has a modern, inclusive workplace with a friendly, family-feel atmosphere and perks like free gym access. The firm supports career growth through structured training and values independence, flexibility, and long-term relationships. They take great pride in making sure that staff feel part of a team that rewards performance and encourages autonomy. As a result of a boost to business and changes to the regulatory framework that they work in, they have asked us to help find several people to join a new team in the Peterborough office.
Your new role
Many of this firms' clients need to pay a retainer fee. At the end of the work, the firm then has to review and pay back any money that is left over...and that's where you come in. You'll have your own portfolio of cases that you will be responsible for, and you'll analyse the fees that have been paid, those that are yet to be billed and work out anything that should be paid back.
Of course, this means that you'll have to liaise with clients and your colleagues to identify and work through any unusual circumstances and situations and, given that we're dealing with human beings, there's always something unexpected that needs to be taken into account, so you'll need to think creatively to find a solution. What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, we're looking for someone that has experience in the legal sector, but this job would suit someone that has worked in audit, banking, AML, compliance, finance or accounting and is looking for a new, fresh challenge.
The key things we're looking for are attention to detail, an ability to think outside the box and come up with ideas and solutions and a naturally inquisitive and analytical mindset. Great communication skills are also very important as your key stakeholders will come from all walks of life. What you'll get in return
This is a really interesting and varied job, you definitely won't get bored. It will be busy, you will have SLAs to work to, and sometimes you'll really need to go the extra mile, but you'll have a fantastic sense of achievement with every case you complete.
The company offers a great salary and a generous holiday allowance. They are in lovely modern offices with loads of free staff parking and really close to lots of essential amenities.Once you've completed your probation, you can work from home up to 3 days per week.
There's fantastic potential in this firm for progression, career development, training and even re-invention!
