Clerk of Works (Demolition) | Major Regeneration Project | 12+ month contract

Hays are working in partnership with a local authority who have an immediate requirement for an experienced Clerk of Works to oversee the delivery of the demolition of high-rise tower blocks in Wishaw. This project forms part of a high-profile, multi-million pound regeneration programme with significant community impact, offering a stable, long-term contract and the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals.
Your new role
As Clerk of Works, you will act as the client’s on-site representative, ensuring that all demolition activities are carried out to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and quality. You’ll monitor progress, inspect works, and liaise with contractors to ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven demolition experience, ideally involving high-rise structures
- Strong knowledge of asbestos awareness protocols and associated waste disposal regulations
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- A proactive approach to health and safety and quality assurance
- A clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- MICWCI is preferred but not essential
