Your new role

  • Using Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archive Systems (PACS) within Imaging in Belfast Trust, register referrals in line with Integrated Elective Access Policy(IEAP) and department protocols.
  • Liaise with clients, staff and departments internal and external to the Trust to ensure full and efficient service.
  • Participate in general office duties in accordance with local Policies & Procedures, i.e. filing, photocopying and data entry or typing if applicable.
  • Provide admin cover at Imaging reception desks behaving in accordance with Trust Values
  • Make and receive telephone calls and take appropriate action.
  • Open, distribute and re-direct mail as appropriate.
  • In line with Trust policy participate in Trust staff reviews and ensure personal Mandatory training up to date.
  • Be willing to participate in shift working including long days, weekends, bank holidays across all sites within the Belfast Trust.
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality regarding all information held in respect of service users and staff.
  • Provide cover for staff during periods of sick/annual leave.
  • To deal with day-to-day queries as appropriate.
  • To assist in training of other staff, as necessary
  • Perform any other duties as appropriate when required.

What you'll need to succeed

4 GCSE’s at grade C or above to include English Language or equivalent qualification.
OR
NVQ Level II in Administration.
OR
A minimum of one year’s administrative clerical experience
AND
  • The flexibility to work in a changing environment. Availability to work an extended working day and to work over the weekend period where required
  • Effective Communications skills to meet the needs of the post in full.
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a multidisciplinary team

Sat & Sun, 8.30 – 4.30 pm (Mon & Tues off in Lieu)
