Cleaner Required HMP Wakefield

We are recruiting a cleaner to work at HMP Wakefield. This is a long-term temporary contract offering sociable, full-time hours. There is the chance of a permanent job offer for the right candidate.
As the Cleaner, you'll be involved in a wide range of tasks crucial to our daily operations. Your responsibilities will typically include:
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Standard Hourly Rate: £13.45
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 39 hours per week
What you'll need to succeed
All applicants who are interested in the position must pass Prison Clearance, which can take up to 8 weeks or more. You will need a passport or photo driving licence to apply for clearance. Once passed, this is valid for 5 years and can be transferred to any other prisons of a similar category.

As the Cleaner, you'll be involved in a wide range of tasks crucial to our daily operations. Your responsibilities will typically include:
- To provide a cleaning service that meets contractual commitments including, but not limited to, tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, emptying bins, the polishing of surfaces, mopping of areas required.
- Work according to legislative regulations, i.e. ensuring the correct use of colour-coded equipment
- Comply with Internal and External HSEA requirements
- Provide a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements
- Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels
- Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
- To ensure a high quality service is provided to the building users at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction
- To report any concerns or issues to the supervisor immediately for action, e.g. broken equipment
- Ensure that all duties are completed in the time provided to a high standard
- Operates in accordance with the Soft Services Platform and handbook
