Class Teacher – Early Years & KS1 (SEN, SEMH & Complex ASD) – September Start

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher with a strong understanding of Early Years and KS1 curriculum? Do you have the skills to support children with SEMH and complex ASD in a nurturing and inclusive environment?

We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join our broad-spectrum SEN school, which caters to children with a range of needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and complex autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This full-time role starts in September and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners.

About the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Early Years and KS1 curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that fosters development and confidence.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to support communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide holistic support.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
About You:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with SEN, SEMH, and complex ASD.
  • Strong understanding of Early Years and KS1 curriculum and how to adapt it for diverse needs.
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about inclusive education and supporting children’s development.
