Fantastic Claims Litigation Supervisor role in Newport with a national legal team
Your new firm
This well-established national legal practice has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across a range of sectors. With a significant presence in the insurance and motor claims market, the firm is known for its innovative approach to dispute resolution and its commitment to client service. As part of their continued growth strategy, they are now seeking a talented Claims Litigation Supervisor to join their dynamic Vehicle Hire & Damage team in Newport.
Your new role
You will be joining a forward-thinking litigation team that works with a broad portfolio of insurers and corporates, handling complex credit hire disputes and associated claims. The team is recognised for its strategic insight and data-driven approach to litigation, helping clients shape market behaviours and refine their claims strategies. As Supervisor, you will manage a small team of handlers, oversee technical performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services across a varied caseload.
This role offers the opportunity to lead, mentor, and develop junior colleagues while maintaining your own caseload of pre-litigated and litigated credit hire matters. You’ll also play a key role in client engagement and business development initiatives.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be an experienced litigation professional with a background in credit hire, personal injury, or similar motor-related claims. Prior supervisory experience is highly desirable, along with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to team leadership. You’ll be confident in managing performance, coaching team members, and ensuring compliance with client protocols and internal standards.
Key attributes for this role include excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, coupled with strong analytical and commercial judgment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal abilities, a collaborative mindset, and resilience under pressure. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is also essential to thrive in this dynamic environment.
What you’ll get in return
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive legal team offering genuine flexibility, career development, and a supportive working culture. Whether you’re looking to advance your technical expertise, build client relationships, or step into a leadership role, this firm provides the platform to grow.
You’ll benefit from support for professional qualifications such as CILEX or solicitor training. Hybrid working options – based out of the Newport office – and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.
