Our client is a well-regarded claimant firm with offices across the North of England. They are currently recruiting for a Grade A/B Civil Liberties solicitor or chartered legal executive to join their Manchester office on a hybrid basis. Grade A/B claimant solicitors with serious injury or clinical negligence experience will be considered.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with a minimum of 4 years PQE. All applicants must have qualified experience of engaging with forensic accountants/counsel, assessing medical evidence and considering claims for loss of capital value. Previous civil liberties experience is preferable, but claimant lawyers with experience conducting or assisting on high-value litigation in a serious injury or clinical negligence context will be considered.

Your new role
This Civil Liberties Solicitor role will see you:
- Managing a range of civil litigation matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Communicating effectively with clients, counsel, defendants, and other stakeholders.
- Gathering, reviewing, and analysing relevant documentation and evidence.
- Specialising in forensic loss analysis, including the preparation and drafting of detailed and complex schedules of loss.
- Procuring expert medical and accountancy evidence where necessary, with the ability to interpret findings and provide informed advice.
- Progressing cases efficiently within legal frameworks and government guidelines, while maintaining clear and realistic client expectations.
- Conducting litigation and overseeing case strategy.
- Contributing to business development initiatives to enhance departmental and company visibility.
- Supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members.
- Ensuring strict adherence to client protocols and procedural requirements.
- Maintaining compliance with internal standards and operational procedures.
