Rate: £12.82 - £16 per hour Shifts: Weekdays, Nights, Weekend.

Your New Role
- Providing essential support to children and young people within residential homes.
- Creating a safe and nurturing environment to foster their independence.
- Engaging in diverse day-to-day activities tailored to their needs.
- Assisting with household tasks like cooking and cleaning.
- Supporting learning and homework completion.
- Building trust and responsibility to accompany them to appointments and activities.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a children's residential home is preferable. Experience within the criminal justice system is a must. However, we welcome candidates with relevant transferable experience supporting young people with challenging needs or previous experience within Youth Justice or Criminal Justice. (Note: Some homes may prioritise those with previous residential experience.)
- Ideal Qualifications: Qualifications such as an NVQ L3 are ideal. An NVQ LVL 2 is a must. (Note: Some homes may require or prioritise candidates with specific qualifications. Mandatory training evidence will be requested, and any required modules will be assigned through our online training platform.)
- Flexibility: We're seeking workers who are as flexible as possible in picking up shifts. We understand your individual needs, such as work, education, and family commitments, and will strive to accommodate them. (Note: Flexibility may be prioritised.)
- Resilience: This role can be challenging, so a strong will, perseverance, and patience are essential when dealing with difficult situations.
- Effective Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary. You'll be responsible for writing in logbooks and potentially preparing reports.
