As a Risk Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across operations. You will work closely with various departments to ensure robust risk management practices are in place, safeguarding the business and enhancing operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Change Risk Assurance across major programmes, ensuring regulatory alignment, effective controls, and clear reporting to senior management and committees.
- Support the development, embedding, and maintenance of the Change Risk Management Framework.
- Work with stakeholders and the PMO to integrate Operational Resilience and regulatory requirements into Change processes.
- Develop and enhance change risk tools, artefacts, and metrics to improve data quality and oversight.
- Challenge the 1st Line on applying learnings and strengthening Change Management practices.
- Provide guidance on Change Risk Management and promote a strong risk-aware culture within Change teams.
- Advise on risk identification, assessment, and treatment across Change initiatives, ensuring material risks follow appropriate governance.
- Participate in Steering Committees and Portfolio Governance Forums, providing risk insight and challenge.
- Support the Portfolio Director and PMO on funding decisions, risk challenge, and portfolio prioritisation.
- Produce Change Risk reporting and ensure accurate risk and control data within the GRC tool.
- Analyse risk data to identify themes and undertake control assurance reviews.
- Support Serious Incident and Change Implementation Reviews, ensuring effective root-cause analysis and action tracking.
- Monitor industry and regulatory best practices related to Change Risk Management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in risk management or a related field.
