Category Manager

Are you an experienced procurement professional ready to take the lead in shaping strategic sourcing and delivering value across a dynamic organisation?
An established London-based institution is seeking a Category Manager. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this pivotal role will drive procurement excellence, manage high-value contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks while delivering the best value for money.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead category management initiatives and deliver strategic procurement solutions with a focus on IT
  • Provide expert advice on procurement compliance, risk, and contract management.
  • Develop and manage tender processes, including specification development and evaluation.
  • Influence stakeholders and represent the organisation in external procurement forums.
  • Drive sustainability and innovation in procurement practices.
  • Support the implementation of e-commerce and digital procurement tools.
We are looking for individuals with

  • Full membership (or working towards) of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
  • Proven experience managing complex procurement projects and high-value contracts.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
