Your new company

Our client is a leading real estate organisation seeking a skilled Category Manager for Facilities Management to join their procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead supplier sourcing and performance strategies, ensuring compliance and delivering maximum business value.


Your new role

As Category Manager, you will:
  • Oversee and optimise FM supplier performance, driving continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement changes to achieve measurable improvements.
  • Ensure all projects comply with procurement governance and utilise designated systems.
  • Act as the primary procurement contact for FM, building strong stakeholder relationships across all levels.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of legislation impacting the FM supply chain.
  • Lead the management and implementation of FM supply contracts.
  • Maximise procurement leverage through supplier rationalisation and consolidation programmes.
  • Ensure full contractual and legal compliance, including risk assessments.
  • Conduct market testing and benchmarking to maintain competitiveness and value for money.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven expertise in supplier relationship and contract management (3–5 years’ experience).
  • Strong understanding of commercial and operational requirements.
  • Track record of delivering strategies that achieve compliance and performance benefits.
  • Highly organised with experience in project and programme management.
  • Technical skills in supplier and contract management, including SLA/KPI development and negotiation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in an FM or services environment.
  • Confident in challenging stakeholders while maintaining professional relationships.
