Category Insights Manager, Reigate/Surrey, £60,000 + Bonus, FMCG, Immediate Start!

Our client, an incredibly well-established supplier of ambient food products, are looking to recruit an energetic, personable candidate to join their sociable office in a Category Insights capacity. Based in a fantastic Surrey location, with the ability to work every Friday from home, this is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate.

Our client have been established for over 40 years, and supply a premium product range to major retailers/foodservice customers across the UK. Their HQ boasts 35 FTE and, as a result of an internal move, they are seeking the right candidate to support their client-facing Sales function with all category insights/analysis. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:

- Providing detailed, account-specific category insights and quality market analysis in line with scheduled and ad-hoc requirements
- Offering proactive recommendations on growing sales in response to market trends
- Working closely support the sales team in preparing in-depth customer presentations for both current and prospective customers
- Providing recommendations on how customers should develop product categories
- Presenting draft data for review within agreed timescales
- Developing an extensive understanding of customers, brands and market data
- Creating and maintaining regular market and competitor analysis reports
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and data providers
- Building close ties with all internal teams, including sales, marketing, procurement, technical, supply chain and finance

In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:

- Experience of working within a Category Insights capacity
- Familiarity/experience of either Circana IRI/Nielsen/Kantar
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Full, clean UK driving licence (required for store audits)
- Ability to convey complex data trends in clear and concise ways
- Fun, sociable personality!
