Your new role
As a Category Buyer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future product portfolio. This is a commercially driven position where you’ll identify, source, and onboard new suppliers and brands, launching innovative products across emerging categories. You’ll manage the full product lifecycle—from concept and business case development to launch and performance optimisation—ensuring each product meets market demand and aligns with strategic growth plans.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading category expansion aligned with business strategy.
  • Sourcing and negotiating with new suppliers to broaden the offering.
  • Conducting market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborating with Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and Category Management teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with sourcing, quality, and brand standards.
  • Monitoring product performance and recommending improvements.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in Buying, Product Management, or Category Development.
  • Strong market analysis and commercial evaluation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Understanding of the full commercial process, from planning to marketing - desirable.
  • Familiarity with responsible procurement and international sourcing - desirable.
