Casualty Injury Solicitor/Supervisor sought after by leading defendant firm

Your new company
Our client is a leading defendant law firm who is now seeking an experienced Solicitor/Supervisor to join its expanding EL/PL team. The team manages employers’ liability and public liability claims up to £100k, with supervisors and senior lawyers taking on more complex, higher‑value work.


Your new role
This Casualty Injury Supervisor will see you:
Team Leadership & Supervision:
  • Direct supervision of a small team of Paralegals handling volume litigated EL/PL claims.
  • Deliver technical supervision and guidance to ensure high‑quality file handling.
  • Conduct performance and interim reviews, manage absence, and maintain team wellbeing.
  • Pass information and communications from senior management.
  • Coach and develop team members, supporting their progress through the firm’s career framework.
  • Monitor the team’s financial performance, ensuring targets are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure cases are progressed proactively and concluded efficiently in line with deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance, addressing emerging risk issues and escalating to the Team Partner where appropriate.
  • Allocate work effectively based on skills, technical ability and commercial considerations.
  • Manage complaints and escalated risk issues in a timely, professional manner.

Technical & Client‑Facing Work
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, demonstrating strong technical knowledge and professionalism.
  • Support business development activities, including attending marketing events, client training, legal clinics and shadowing days.
  • Manage a small caseload of mixed‑value EL/PL claims.
  • Maintain awareness of firm strategy and contribute positively to team culture.
  • Continue technical development through training, reading and participation in professional learning opportunities.
  • Handle confidential information in accordance with data‑security protocols


What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified solicitor (Essential)
  • Experience handling EL/PL, personal injury or comparable litigation caseloads.
  • Strong compliance history with client SLAs, KPIs and internal protocols.
  • Excellent management skills, including motivating, coaching and mentoring colleagues at all levels.
  • Solid IT proficiency with strong working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional organisational and analytical skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in client communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
