Carpenter (FIRE DOOR REPAIRS)

Your new company

I am seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter to support fire door maintenance and repair works across two PFI school sites in Greenwich.

This is a temporary agency requirement, supporting the Hard Services team on a live education contract. The role will focus specifically on fire door remedial works, ensuring doors remain compliant and fit for purpose.

Your new role

Carry out fire door maintenance and repair works in line with certification standards
Complete remedial repairs to fire doorsets, frames, seals, closers, and ironmongery
Ensure doors function correctly post‑repair and maintain fire integrity
Work safely and professionally within a school environment
Liaise with site teams to plan and complete works efficiently
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Carpenter with proven experience in fire door repairs
Current Firemark or BM TRADA certified training in fire door maintenance and repairs (mandatory)
Strong understanding of fire door compliance and safe repair practices
Ability to supply and use own tools
Reliable, professional approach suitable for working in educational settings
Enhanced DBS (Essential) due to work being carried out during term time.
