Care Service Manager 6-month fixed-term contract Edinburgh

Your new company

Our Social Housing client is looking to recruit an experienced Care Service Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The organisation are a leading Scottish provider of accessible homes and personalised care services, supporting people to live independently with dignity and choice.

They are looking for someone to support the Edinburgh West Services (East Craigs, Roseburn, Gorgie and Haymarket) and they require the successful candidate to be within easy reach of the 4 locations.

Your new role

  • Lead a neighbourhood-based approach to delivering high-quality care services.
  • Drive growth and innovation in care delivery aligned with strategic goals.
  • Build strong relationships with commissioners and stakeholders to support integrated health and social care.
  • Provide effective leadership to care and support teams, ensuring consistent service quality.
  • Ensure agile and efficient coordination of care services.
  • Promote the use of technology to enhance care delivery.
  • Manage budgets and ensure financial sustainability of services.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Oversee operational management, including rota planning, reporting, and employee relations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven leadership experience in a care setting.
  • Relevant care qualification recognised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for registered managers.
  • Experience delivering person-centred, outcomes-based care in home or residential settings.
  • Meets Care Inspectorate Fit Person criteria.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with commissioners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and implement care models tailored to community needs.
  • Understanding of health and social care integration.
  • Knowledge of care legislation, funding, and best practices.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
