Capital Delivery Manager, 6-month contract, Day rate up to £400 per day inside IR35

Your new role

As Capital Planned Delivery Manager, you will lead a team of six contract managers in the delivery of planned capital works and preventative maintenance programmes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality standards while promoting a positive resident experience. This is a pivotal role that combines operational oversight with strategic planning, financial stewardship, and people development

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of capital and revenue works programmes, including M&E projects, with annual values up to £10m
• Oversee procurement activities and ensure compliance with UK legislation and internal governance frameworks
• Monitor programme performance, financial forecasting, and budget reports
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all projects, including CDM, asbestos, water hygiene, and electrical safety regulations
• Analyse asset condition data to inform future investment strategies
• Inspire and develop a high-performing team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement
• Provide expert advice across service areas and support cross-functional collaboration
• Champion sustainability and support the organisation’s net-zero ambitions by 2030

What you'll need to succeed
• Proven experience managing large-scale capital programmes and term contracts
• Strong understanding of building construction, pathology, and compliance standards
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop professional teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and political awareness
• Commercial acumen with a track record of identifying efficiencies and income opportunities
• Experience in project management within local authority, registered provider, or private sector asset management
• Ideally MRICS or equivalent qualification
• Commitment to fairness, equality, and continuous professional development
