Assistant Buyer role, Hybrid working in Bournemouth

Your new company


Our client is a highly successful, growing business looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded assistant buyer to join their procurement team.


Your new role


Working as part of a team, your role will be varied. You will be providing information and data vital to the success of the wider buying team, predominantly m anaging supplier-led price changes and new product pricing. This will include:

  • Investigating price change files, applying terms and flagging discontinuations.
  • Producing clear, accurate reports to allow decision-making in the wider buying team.
  • Creating pricing templates to reprice new and existing products.
  • Checking pricing in the ERP system
  • Running both pre- and post-import checks.
  • Documenting supplier information and specifics to allow a smooth supply chain process as well as managing supplier relationships to predicate changes and mitigate delays.
  • Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets and trackers


What you'll need to succeed


Our client is fast-growing and highly successful in their field and, as such, they are looking for an individual who will come into the role with ideas and a commercial mindset to be a part of taking the business to the next level.

Attention to detail is vital in this role, as well as being able to make commercial decisions and react quickly to supply chain changes.

An ability to manipulate data in Excel and confidence to manage large volumes of data as well as a willingness to learn and develop.
