Your new company
Hays is partnering with a global technology manufacturer to recruit a Buyer for their Belfast-based supply chain team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation known for innovation and scientific impact.

Your new role
  • Manage daily purchasing activities including order placement, expediting, and delivery tracking
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Maintain ERP system data and ensure pricing accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage stock, production orders, and procurement needs
  • Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to procurement process development

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a purchasing role
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Proficiency in Excel and manual data handling
  • GCSEs including English & Maths (or equivalent)
  • Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively
  • Desirable: Working towards CIPS or third-level qualification
