Your new role
As the Indirects Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of contracts for indirect products and services, including Waste Management, Vending/Catering, Tools, and Stationery.
- Developing and implementing sourcing plans to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and drive cost savings. You’ll tender spend, evaluate suppliers, and select those that align with the company's goals.
- Leading on negotiations to secure the best terms and pricing. Draft, review, and manage contracts to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Analysing market trends and conducting cost-benefit analyses to optimise procurement decisions. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers. Managing and improving supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality or service delivery.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to understand their sourcing needs, and align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement initiatives to enhance sourcing processes and streamline procurement procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Good level of skill with MS Excel - comfortable with VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables etc
