Hays are representing a global industry-leading firm in over 29 countries globally to recruit a BD Specialist in their Belfast office.

Your new role

As BD Specialist you will work in the Global Experts & Markets Team who contributes to the achievement of the firm's business objectives, and includes supporting the partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming clients' trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally, and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced law firm amongst the global elite law firms. Responsibilities include:
  • Event Leadership: Play a key role in our client's presence at the International Bar Association annual conference and help orchestrate GEMCon, our client's flagship London event that draws over 250 global attendees.
  • Data Management: Maintain internal systems to keep ahead of the curve and spot trends in data to help our client's commercial goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Organise meetings with top-tier stakeholders, ensuring relationships are as strong as our client's reputation.
  • Profile Elevation: Coordinate pitches, directory submissions, and other initiatives that raise our client's profile and showcase their expertise in these markets and specifically within the Africa Group.
  • Preparation and Strategy: Equip partners with the materials they need to build and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience: You've thrived in a team for 3-5 years, juggling major projects and high-profile events. Your track record shows a keen eye for detail and a knack for improving processes.
  • Multitasking: You're adept at managing diverse workstreams and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders on tight deadlines.
  • Your Impact: You've taken ownership of a legacy process and offered an alternative viewpoint to make the process easier on your stakeholders.
