A long‑established fuel distribution company based in England, this business has been supporting residential, agricultural, and commercial customers for decades. Operating from a central depot, it supplies heating oil, road diesel, and agricultural fuels, along with fuel storage tanks, haulage services, and vehicle maintenance and testing.

Your new role
Reporting to the Business Development Director, this role is responsible for driving new business and managing key contracts within the assigned region. The position involves working closely with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of services and strong customer relationships.

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of high‑value prospects through to closure.
  • Support sales teams with product demos, events, and closing qualified opportunities.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations to senior decision‑makers.
  • Lead client meetings in partnership with regional teams.
  • Maintain regular customer contact to ensure satisfaction and uncover new opportunities.
  • Support onboarding of new customers to ensure smooth adoption of products/services.
  • Monitor revenue and profitability across accounts to meet sales targets.
  • Define and maintain service levels aligned with customer expectations.
  • Develop strategic account plans to win new business and retain existing clients.
  • Identify cross‑selling and bundling opportunities with other business units.
  • Track commercial performance across the regional portfolio.
  • Ensure customers understand the full service offering and value proposition.
  • Provide regular sales reports and performance updates to leadership.
  • Share customer‑driven market insights with marketing and product teams.
  • Contribute to sales and marketing materials when required.
  • Use existing networks to generate new business opportunities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned solutions within the organisation.

Key things to know
  • £50,000-£62,000 plus bonuses
  • Hybrid 1–2 days in office
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 35% of the time.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 15% of the time.
  • Full, valid driving licence required
