Business Development Executive, London, Logistics Company, Field-Based, £45,000 (£70,000 OTE), Immediate Start
Our client, the UK's leading Same Day Delivery Network, are looking to recruit a personable, experienced Business Development Executive to join their ever-growing operation. Working across London (all clients based within the M25) with the responsibility to grow existing client spend/generate fresh new business, this is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate!
Our client have been established for 25 years, and specialise in Same Day Courier / Contract Logistics services. They operate a 24/7/365 service and boast close to 30 service centres across the UK to ensure an incredible local customer service. Due to their sustained success/growth, they are actively looking to recruit the perfect candidate to oversee their London territory, owning the SME sales strategy. In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and winning new client business across London/within the M25
- Driving new business growth through proactive and independent prospecting
- Owning the entire sales cycle - identifying/engaging/converting prospective customers
- Developing business through cold-calling, event networking, market research and attending qualified meetings (assisted/booked by junior Inside Sales team)
- Building and managing a robust pipeline
- Converting opportunities into long-term relationships
- Presenting winning strategic proposals to new customers - negotiating/closing deals with align with company goals
- Supporting tender planning processes
- Developing long-term customer relationships with SME clients, ensuring a smooth handover of closed business to internal Customer Relationship team
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following:
- Experience/success in delivering profitable new business revenue growth in line with sales targets/business strategy
- Experience of working in a field-based sales capacity (meeting clients on site, etc)
- Proven track record of exceeding B2B Sales targets
- Full UK driving licence (and own car)
- Motivation to earn additional money/commission
- Natural ability to build rapport with others
- Fun, sociable personality
In addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client are also offering the following:
- £4,500 Car Allowance (+ all business travel expensed)
- Uncapped commission structure (realistic Year One OTE: £65,000 - £70,000)
- Full autonomy of diary (one day a week in Central London HQ / remainder working from home/in the field)
- Fantastic progression opportunities
