You will teach A Level Business (EDUQAS) and CTEC Business (OCR) to highly motivated 16–19 students. What makes this role exciting?
- Deliver a dynamic Business curriculum: Lead the exploration of strategic decision-making, global marketing and financial management, ensuring students master the rigorous analytical and evaluative skills required for post-16 study.
- Inspire future commercial minds: Challenge highly motivated learners who are passionate about industry, enterprise and the application of business theory in a rapidly shifting global economy.
- Bridge theory and practice: Lead outstanding teaching that sits at the intersection of academic models and real-world corporate strategy, from the rise of digital disruption to the importance of ethical sustainability.
- Contribute to a diverse portfolio: For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to teach across our A Level Economics (Edexcel) provision, providing a truly comprehensive commercial education.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an outstanding Level 3 practitioner with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes in post-16 (we also welcome applications from ambitious teachers ready for their first specialist post).
- Possesses deep subject expertise, with the ability to explain complex financial statements, macroeconomic principles and business models with clarity and enthusiasm.
- Brings a passion for commercial discourse that motivates learners to engage with diverse viewpoints on corporate social responsibility and economic policy.
- Is committed to collaborative, evidence-informed teaching, working within the Human Sciences Faculty to trial new strategies for improving evaluative writing and quantitative skills.
- Understands how to build student confidence, preparing them for high-level progression into Business Management, Finance, Economics and elite degree apprenticeships.
Why choose us?
- Be a part of an Investors in People: Platinum [Employer of the Year 2025] organisation.
- We are a flourishing high-performing sixth form where students achieve and exceed their potential.
- Be part of a team that’s ambitious, supportive, and driven by purpose.
- Benefit from personalised CPD, leadership coaching, and genuine career progression.
