The main objective of this role is to lead a team of business analysts in delivering high-quality projects within set time and budget limits, meeting the expectations of key stakeholders. Additionally, this role independently offers business analysis expertise for a select number of complex projects, ensuring they meet time, quality, and cost targets, and align with the organisation’s strategic goals and customer satisfaction.
This position is part of the Innovation & People Directorate within the Projects and Programmes Department. It oversees project management teams to deliver a high-quality, integrated, and people-centric business analysis service, aligning with the organisation’s strategic goals. The role is crucial in driving organisational transformation as we transition into a forward-thinking, digitally-focused housing association.Key Accountabilities
- Lead and support a team of business analysts, conducting performance reviews, setting objectives, and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Identify training needs, mentor for professional growth, and provide tools for business analysis excellence.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as the main contact for business analysis queries.
- Promote the team’s value and expertise internally.
- Oversee business requirements and process documentation, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Facilitate workshops, collaborate with project managers, and monitor progress.
- Implement standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Align business analysis activities with strategic goals and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and embed project lifecycle and governance frameworks, ensuring stakeholder buy-in.
- Centre decisions around customer needs and communicate priorities through the team.
Required skills and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, IT, or related field.
- Certification in Business Analysis.
- Senior business analysis experience.
- Team management and leadership experience.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, DevOps).
- Experience with business analysis methodologies and frameworks.
- A customer-centric approach aligned with the companies' values.
- Strong project management knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage pressure and multiple priorities.
