Your new role

Your new role as Underwriting support means that you will be increasing new business generation by strengthening existing broker relationships and building new ones within their broker panel. Your main responsibilities will be to chase and maintain broker pipelines (new and existing), follow up on broker quotes with the aim of securing new business, as well as maintaining existing business through non-underwriting referrals/tasks/administration. You will also be required to identify opportunities and develop a panel of brokers, maintain existing pipelines via telephone account management and effective communication. In this role, it is important that you load quotes from brokers and assist with new quotes when required, alongside generating leads from both new and existing brokers. In this role, you will also be working effectively as part of a team and will work alongside the Eaton gate trading underwriting teams, technical, claims and finance teams who are based in London.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you must have proficiency in managing stakeholders across various levels, coupled with an approach and the capability to establish strong rapport. You will have proficiency in MS Suite to include Word and Excel, along with exceptional communication skills. For this role, it is important that you possess very strong organisational skills to apply to tasks such as meeting preparation, actions and follow-up management, as well as Data/MI preparation, including use of Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBi. It is expected that you will be progressing towards Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification.
