BREEAM Assessor – Tetra Tech - Belfast

Due to continued growth, Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced BREEAM Assessor to join its Sustainability team in Belfast. Applications are welcome from candidates seeking either full‑time or part‑time working hours.

The role sits within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working closely with experienced mechanical and electrical engineering teams. Projects span a broad range of sectors including Healthcare, Highways & Transport, Retail, Commercial, Education, and Defence, offering a strong and consistent pipeline of work.


Your new role

As a BREEAM Assessor at Tetra Tech, you will be responsible for delivering BREEAM assessments across the full project lifecycle. Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking BREEAM assessments from pre‑assessment stage through to certification
  • Completing evidence review and assessment throughout the design and construction stages
  • Producing and maintaining BREEAM trackers to keep design teams and stakeholders informed on progress
  • Liaising with internal colleagues, clients, and other technical disciplines to support successful project delivery
  • Assisting with the preparation of sustainability statements in support of planning applications

What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
  • Qualified BREEAM Assessor
  • 4–5 years post‑graduate experience, with proven delivery of BREEAM assessments
  • Ability to interpret BREEAM‑related information from architectural, mechanical, electrical drawings and specifications
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams
  • Strong understanding of building design and building services
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workloads
  • Candidates may be required to obtain an appropriate level of UK security clearance
