Your new role

As a Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant, you will take full responsibility for the financial management and reporting functions of the business. Working independently to management accounts level, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance processes. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys autonomy and wants to make a tangible impact on the success of a hospitality operation.
  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain robust financial controls, cash flow management, and cost oversight.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial insights to operational teams to drive performance.
  • Assist with year-end accounts and external audits.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a similar industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls and reporting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of finance processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and confidence to challenge costs.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to organisational success.
