This logistics company provides logistics services including road and rail transport, warehousing, and terminal management across Scotland and has been established for a number of years and works with some very prestigious clients in the industry. The company provides integrated third-party logistics solutions including bonded and non-bonded warehousing and supply chain management, to a number of blue-chip customers across Scotland and England.
Your new role
The successful candidate will provide part-time administrative support for the 24/7 warehouse operation, ensuring the highest level of accuracy at all times. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a practical understanding of general office, warehouse and administrative duties and have the ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

- Setting up loads for dispatch
- Planning loads for dispatch
- Issuing loading paperwork to the warehouse
- Issuing dispatch paperwork, including any shipping notes or customs documents
- Booking new loads with hauliers within Road Runner/SAP system
- Booking in of drivers when they arrive for loading
- Communicating any issues to the Traffic Team
- Working toward deadlines whilst producing accurate work of a high standard.
What you'll need to succeed
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook, is essential and experience of working with Warehouse and Transport systems, including SAP, Dispatcher and Road Runner Pro, will prove beneficial though training for such will be provided.
The role is fast-paced and varied and as such requires an individual with a proactive and flexible approach to work, both in a team environment and individually. A keen eye for detail, good telephone manner and excellent face-to-face communication skills are essential attributes required for this role in order to effectively liaise with a variety of internal departments and external customers. Above all, you will need to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude to organising your resources to deliver excellent service to our customers.
The hours of work will be based on Friday 11.30am – 18.00 and Sat / Sun 07.00am – 19.00. Reasonable flexibility is expected, particularly around peak operational periods. Training will last 4 weeks and the candidate will need to be available 5 days a week from Monday to Friday for those first 4 weeks.
