Board Support and Governance Coordinator

A well-known FTSE company operating on a global scale is seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to join their Legal and Governance team as a Board Support and Governance Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of board and committee governance, while also providing high-level executive support to the General Counsel and Company Secretary.


Your responsibilities:

This role plays a key part in supporting the effective operation of Board and Committee governance, with responsibilities including the coordination of meeting logistics, preparation of agendas, minutes, and board packs, and liaison with senior stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication. The successful candidate will maintain governance calendars, statutory records, and support regulatory filings, while also providing high-level executive assistance to the General Counsel and Company Secretary. A strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and best practices is essential, as the role contributes to the implementation and monitoring of governance policies, compliance tracking, and internal audits. This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.


What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in governance and board support within a corporate or legal environment, with a strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks and company secretarial practices. They will demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information. Previous experience as an EA to senior board members would be beneficial.
