Outside IR35 bioinformatics developer, 3mth+ contract, strong programming & visualisation, fully home based
Your new company
A growing biotech with an innovative pipeline of therapies is looking to bring on a consultant bioinformatics developer on an initial short-term contract to support their internal R&D efforts and partnerships with external clients.
They have a close-knit and highly experienced team of scientists and you would be joining them as they move into their next phase of growth.
Your new role
This is a fully home-based role within the UK, that is OUTSIDE IR35.
You will be supporting the company's R&D efforts by developing tools, apps and extra functionalities that will allow the wet lab scientists to work more efficiently and effectively visualise information from the company's databases.
This may include web-based app / User Interface (UI) development for visualisation of data, the development of pipelines or tools, or further developing their database capabilities.
The contract will initially run for 3 months and may be extended.
All candidates MUST have the current right to work in the UK - no sponsorship or 3rd party services supplying visas are eligible for this role.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have strong programming skills in a language such as R, python, Java, JavaScript or similar; as well as a track record in visualising data and developing UIs or other applications to support R&D scientists.
Candidates with bioinformatics experience, or experience of software development within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech or medical diagnostics industry are highly preferred.
What you'll get in return
You'll get a good daily rate, outside of IR35, and the opportunity to work fully remotely from within the UK.
