Driving performance, compliance and continuous improvement across a global billing function.
We’re looking for a confident, delivery‑focused Billing Operations Manager to lead a blended onshore/offshore team and own the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of the end‑to‑end billing processes. You’ll be the operational heartbeat of the function — ensuring deadlines are met, controls are tight, and service to the business is consistently high.
What you’ll lead

  • 1:1 rhythm — Weekly touchpoints with the onshore team and offshore team lead to maintain alignment, unblock issues and drive accountability.
  • KPI reporting — Monthly analysis and reporting of billing KPIs to the Global Head of Billing, highlighting trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Project delivery — Leading contract reviews, supporting a billing‑system rewrite, and managing the onboarding of clients from new acquisitions.
  • Regulatory compliance — Ensuring all billing activity adheres to relevant legislation, internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Systems oversight — Managing accurate and timely exports from the billing system into the finance system.
  • Training & development — Coaching and upskilling both onshore and offshore teams to strengthen process knowledge and quality.
  • Month‑end leadership — Acting as the lead for all billing‑related month‑end close activities, ensuring deadlines and standards are consistently met.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven team leadership.
  • Structured 1:1 management — Ability to run weekly check‑ins that maintain alignment, unblock issues and keep delivery on track.
  • KPI ownership — Strong analytical skills to interpret monthly KPIs, identify trends and report confidently to senior leadership.
  • Project management capability — Demonstrable experience leading projects such as system upgrades, contract reviews or acquisition onboarding.
  • Regulatory and compliance knowledge — Understanding of billing legislation, audit controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Systems proficiency — Hands‑on experience with billing platforms and ERP systems.
  • Training and coaching skills — Ability to upskill teams, embed process knowledge and raise quality standards across locations.
  • Month‑end close experience — Confident leading billing‑related month‑end activities, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
  • Process improvement mindset — Ability to spot inefficiencies, tighten controls and streamline workflows.
  • Stakeholder communication — Clear, credible communication with directors, offshore leads and cross‑functional teams.

  • Hybrid working

  • Good salary
