Bid Writer required to join this exciting Construction organisation, based in their offices in Liverpool CC
We are recruiting a Bid Writer to join a growing, ambitious main contractor operating across both the public and private sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a business that is actively expanding its footprint, strengthening its presence on frameworks, and building long‑term market reputation
This role would suit an experienced Bid Writer who wants to be part of a growth journey, helping to shape how the business is presented to clients and stakeholders
The Role
Working as part of the pre‑construction and work‑winning team, you will be responsible for producing high‑quality, compelling bid submissions across a range of procurement routes, with a strong focus on public sector frameworks and 2‑stage tenders, alongside private sector opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing and coordinating high‑quality PQQ and tender submissions
- Producing responses for public sector framework bids
- Supporting 2‑stage tender submissions and ECI opportunities
- Writing and editing content for private sector tenders
- Interpreting ITTs, employer’s requirements and evaluation criteria
- Working closely with estimators, planners, commercial and delivery teams
- Developing clear win themes and value propositions
- Managing bid programmes and ensuring deadlines are met
- Maintaining and developing bid libraries, case studies and templates
- Supporting the ongoing development of the company’s market profile
About You:
You will be an experienced Bid Writer with strong construction sector knowledge and a clear understanding of what drives successful submissions
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer within a construction or built environment business
- Public sector framework bid experience
- Experience supporting 2‑stage and negotiated tenders
- Exposure to private sector tendering
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to interpret technical information and present it clearly
- Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
- A proactive, collaborative approach
- Ambition to grow with a business and help increase its visibility and success rate
