BI Analyst with Power Platform, SQL, and data warehousing expertise to drive digital transformation

A large, listed business in Barnsley operating in the construction sector is inviting applications for a talented Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join its digital transformation team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting digital solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, with a strong focus on data analytics, reporting, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Build and optimise data models, dashboards, and reports to deliver actionable insights
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data pipelines
  • Support and enhance data warehousing solutions to ensure robust, scalable data architecture
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to drive digital adoption and process improvement
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to end users

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
  • Strong hands-on expertise with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and solutions
  • Ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into clear business insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with ERP or commercial systems integration
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PL-300, PL-600, MB-260, etc.)
