We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Preston from September 2025.

As a Behaviour Specialist TA, you will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to support students who require additional behavioural support. Your role will be pivotal in helping students engage positively with their learning and school life.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural challenges
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to promote engagement and progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials and strategies
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (in education, youth work, or similar)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Team Teach, or similar) are desirable but not essential
