Azure Platform Engineer – Active SC, NPPV3, Azure

Up to £690 per day (Inside IR35)

Primarily remote

I am currently working with a leading consultancy who are looking for an NPPV3 and SC cleared Azure Platform Engineer to join a business critical programme for an end client

Key Requirements:

Proven experience working as an Azure Platform Engineer.
Active NPPV3 and SC clearance.
Strong background in Azure API Management, particularly for mobile‑backend integrations.
Hands‑on experience with AKS, Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
Solid understanding of Azure networking, including VNets, private endpoints, Application Gateway, WAF, and load balancers.
Strong knowledge of Azure AD, Managed Identities, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect.
Proven experience with Docker and containerized workloads.
Experience managing and supporting production‑grade AKS clusters.
Good working knowledge of Helm, Kustomize, or similar tooling.
Understanding of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, OSM).
Practical experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Azure Monitor.

Nice to have:

Experience integrating mobile applications with cloud‑native backends
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications
Familiarity with zero‑trust architecture principles
Background in performance tuning or cost‑optimised cloud design
